Alicia is the type of bride who has a vision and it shows! She ordered her gown without a train because she knew she did not want bustles added. Her alterations we minimal since her corset gown was easily adjustable to her curves. At John Emily one of the focus areas during your bridal consultation is getting a feel for the bride’s style and vision.  We ask you about your venue, your timeline and want to know what is most important to you! Not all brides follow the rules, some brides elope and do a short hike in gowns, others will have the entire wedding outdoors and some stick to tradition. We listen and take measurements according to all these elements. 😉

Wedding on June 2nd 2018, Bride Charlotte Ballentine, such a sweet customer! She knew exactly what she liked from beginning to end  with her elegant style in this beautiful silhouette from Mikaella Bridal.

After doing her research, it was requested we design a ballroom bustle she had seen on our Intagram from one of our former brides pictures.

Lastly, Custom Garters were made from leftover silk from the gown by our in-house designer Maritza, her beautiful line DeFatima Creations is available exclusively at John Emily Studio.

Here at John Emily we care about bustles, every time we pin bustles it’s done with a creative precision. When a wedding gown is bustled it should be just as elegant as the original, as if it were a shorter design of the same gown! Taking into consideration where the skirt flares out, we take our time to pick up fabric at the right place to ensure only the most flattering results.
