Charlotte Ballentine

Wedding on June 2nd 2018, Bride Charlotte Ballentine, such a sweet customer! She knew exactly what she liked from beginning to end  with her elegant style in this beautiful silhouette from Mikaella Bridal.

After doing her research, it was requested we design a ballroom bustle she had seen on our Intagram from one of our former brides pictures.

Lastly, Custom Garters were made from leftover silk from the gown by our in-house designer Maritza, her beautiful line DeFatima Creations is available exclusively at John Emily Studio.

Fall Weddings Alterations Tips

Bridal Bouquet

Hello Brides,

We are getting ready for one of our high traffic seasons….Fall 2018.

Here are some tips to book appointments for upcoming weddings.

  1. First Appointments: you can schedule your appointment as early as you would like. The only reason we strongly recommend that you wait (8-12 weeks before your wedding) is when you are planning on loosing weight or are doing intense work-outs/diets that will change your size.
  2. Bridal Portraits: when you call to make your appointment please share with us if you plan on doing bridal portraits this changes turn around times for alterations.
  3. Shoes: this is the most important item to bring to ALL your fittings, even if you are not getting your dress hemmed, shoes make all the difference!!
  4. Quotes: Prices can only be given in person.
  5. Payment: We take payment at the 1st fitting, this is when we offer the Full Consultation and take all measurements. No refunds.
  6. Consultations: If you are unsure if John Emily is the place for you, no problem, we offer 10-15min consultations and are happy to answer all your questions.
  7. John Emily is looking forward to work with you all! Thank you for all the continued support from all our partner bridal boutiques 🙂

The Bustle

cropped-charlotteaustinweddinghighlights-187.jpegHere at John Emily we care about bustles, every time we pin bustles it’s done creatively. When a wedding gown is bustled it should be as elegant and show off the design as if it was a shorter version of the dress. We take our time to pick up at right place taking into consideration where the skirt flares out. Not only do we create beautiful bustles we also take our time at every fitting to explain and practice before the big day.
